PROGRAMME 2012
What
follows here is a brief overview of the various activities in Pinoso over Holy
Week.
A copy of
the programme in Spanish, and in full colour, may still be available from the
Town Hall. This is an interesting
publication as it gives details of the various societies and associations that
are involved, as well as a number of photographs from previous years.
30 March
After Mass, the official address by Dña. Remedios
García Vidal.
31 March
17:00 Mass, followed by the procession of Pasitos,
leaving from the church.
19:30 Mass
20:30 Concert by the Unión Lírica Pinosense, in the
Town Theatre.
01 April Palm Sunday
10:30 Representation
of Jesus and the Apostles with Mary and Mary Magdalene,
starting in the Town Hall square and ending in Santa
Catalina.
11:00 Celebration of Palm Sunday. Blessing of palms in the Santa Catalina Hermitage,
followed by a procession to the Church accompanied by the pipe and drum band.

21:00 Procession
of St. Peter from calle Pablo Iglesias to the Church. Followed by
a representation of the denial of St.
Peter.

April
20:00 Mass
21:00 Procession
of the Romans from Santa Catalina to the Church, followed by
the “Remolinet” of the Romans in the
Town Hall square.

20:00 Mass
21:30 Procession
of Christ the Prisoner, accompanied by the Unión Lírica
Pinosense, leaving from the Church. Followed by the Procession of the Cross,
leaving from the Church.

April
17:30 Mass
18:30 Mass to celebrate the Last Supper, with the
Church choir.
20:00 Procession of the Virgin, accompanied by the
Dolcainer band, from Santa Catalina to the Church.
23:00 Holy Hour
24:00 Silent Procession, leaving from the Church.
06 April Good Friday
11:00 Procession of the Road to Calvary,
accompanied by the Unión Lírica Pinosense, leaving from the Church. Followed by the “Remolinet” in the Town Hall
square.
17:00 Celebration of the Passion.
20:30 Solemn procession, accompanied by the bands, leaving from the Church. Followed by the "Remolinet" in the Town Hall Square.
07 April
23:00 Solemn Vigil for the Resurrection.
08
April Easter Sunday
10:30 Mass
in Santa Catalina, followed by Procession to the Plaza Virgen del
Remedio.
Celebration of the Eucharist with the Church choir.
